Grey Gables Equestrian
We specialize in safe, fun and personalized riding instruction for all ages and experience levels of English Horseback Riding. We also provide full horse boarding services.
The riding facilities at Grey Gables include our renovated barn with ten 12'x12' rubber matted stalls, two hot water wash racks, a heated tack room and a lighted 60'x150' indoor riding arena.
Our 130'x250' outdoor arena was created in 2004. Both arenas have 3" of river sand over compressed blue stone.
Grey Gables is made up of rolling hills and pastures of over 225 acres, including 50 acres of woods. One riding trail encircles the farm and cuts through the woods. Another branch follows a valley and fords a stream.
Students may choose to have a lesson riding on the trails or in the arenas. Boarding customers always have access to the trails and to the arenas when lessons are not in session.
Lessons are conducted with one (private), two (semi-orivate) or three (group) students. We believe smaller classes enable a safer and more productive learning experience. Please call the farm to arrange a time for your visit and/or to discuss a lesson plan for you.
We offer full board in a low drama, quiet, family style barn. Board is $450. per month. We do not nickel and dime with additional charges like holding for the vet or farrier. Our excellent farrier is Jay Tomlinson. We are very thankful he has continued his amazing service to us since 2004. Our vet is Dr. CJ from Westwood Veterinary Clinc which is right around the corner. Boarders may use whatever farrier and vet services they prefer. Please call the barn to discuss your horse and arrange a visit to see if we might be a good fit for you and your horse.
We offer english/hunt seat riding instruction for all ages and levels as well as full horse board. Donal Oldaker runs our riding program.
Egg mobiles follow Polyface Farm cattle which have grazed our pastures for ten years. Take a rding lesson and buy some eggs!
Grey Gables has had a long and colorful history which we are proud to be a small part of. We are love learning more about the farm and encourage you to share your stories and photos with us!
